American Future, a great US blog focusing on foreign and national security affairs, confirmed to host our transatlantic carnival in the United States. Now we got two German and one American host.
We have already received ten submissions, which are displayed on the right. Numerous blogs are advertising the carnival. At Word of Blog you can see a list of those blogs who are using the HTML code to display the logo of our carnival. This is a free and simple way to support the carnival. The Blog Carnival of German-American Relations takes place quarterly. Every carnival is hosted by two blogs from both sides of the Atlantic. One in English and one in German. The goal is to promote dialogue between Americans and Germans and everybody else who cares about transatlantic relations. Liberal, conservative and other bloggers from both sides of the Atlantic are invited to discuss German-American relations by submitting their best blog posts in English or in German. You don't have to mince words. You may submit very critical posts, but they have to be well argued and written respectfully. The carnival was founded by the Atlantic Review and GM's Corner, who co-hosted the first edition in English here and here on December 11, 2005. The next carnival will be hosted by Statler & Waldorf in German and the Atlantic Review in English on March 11, 2006. (American Future might host the carnival too and add a distinct US perspective.) The deadline for submission is March 7, 2006.Participate: To participate in this carnival, all you have to do is write a new blog post about US-German relations or pick a very good older post that is still relevant and submit this post by inserting the following text and link: "Submitted to Carnival of German-American Relations" If your blog software sends automatic trackbacks, then your submission will immediately be listed in the top-right corner of this page. If your blog software does not do that, please send a manual trackback with your blog software or by using the Wizbang Standalone Trackback Pinger and copy+paste this "Trackback Ping URL": http://america-germany.atlanticreview.org/comment.php?type=trackback&entry_id=1 If you have any problem, question or concern, please just send an email to Jorg. I could submit the posts for you. The hosts of the upcoming carnival will pick the best submissions and introduce them in their blogs on March 11th. You are expected to link to their carnival post on March 11th. Spread the news about this carnival: Please mention this carnival on your blog. You could put the 8 KB small logo in your blog post and your sidebar. If you can't save pictures on your blog you could use this HTML code to display the carnival logo.A big thank you to Jim Bass, who created this logo. UPDATE vom 22. Mai 2006:
Die folgenden allgemeinen Informationen zum Karneval sind leicht aktualisiert: Click here for the English version. Alle teilnehmenden Blogs bekommen so viele neue Leser.

Mark Steyn is, as so often in the last years, claiming yet again that the future belongs to Islam. Point is, demographics aren't quite as decisive as they used to be, and large, uneducted masses are mostly a danger to themselves nowadays. Not to mention the fact that there only are 15 million [...]
